These are frequently asked questions that should help eliminate some of the confusion when it comes to formal wear and renting from Ilene’s in Las Vegas. Just click on the question or the + sign to show the answer.

General Information

2. Do I need an appointment? How far in advance should I set my appointment?

You do not need an appointment to come into Ilene’s.  Please feel free to arrive any time during normal operating hours.  If you require more than a single tux fitting, we highly recommend calling in advance to set an appointment.

3. How long will a fitting take?

The time a fitting takes depends on what you are renting from us.  A single tuxedo fitting should take approximately 30 minutes.  Multiple tuxedo fittings within your party can increase fitting time.  Wedding gown fittings take as long as they need to.  Choosing a wedding gown can be a lengthy process; however, our staff is incredibly well versed in our gown inventory.  The average bride spends between 1-3 hours here to choose a dress and all accessories.

1. Where are you located? What are your hours?

We are located at 3002 S. Rancho Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Our hours are 9am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and by appointment only on Sunday. We offer 24/7 availability and after hour appointments are more than welcome.

4. How do I pick up and return my rented garments?

Most tuxedos and gowns are ready to leave the store by the time you are.  On rare occasions, we will deliver your rented garments to your hotel once they are finished being altered.  To return your rented clothing, simply drop all items off at the Bell Desk of your hotel and we will pick them up.

5. When do my items need to be returned?

All clothing rented from Ilene’s needs to be returned the day after use.

6. Is there a deposit required?

We do not require a deposit, but we do take an imprint of your credit card to keep on file.  This imprint can be returned to you for an additional fee.

7. What if I damage clothing?

Accidents happen and we understand that.  We will do our best to repair any damage; however, if any clothing is damaged beyond repair you will be charged for the full retail price of each ruined item.

8. What are your prices?

All prices are custom and there really is no way to give exact cost in advance.  Our basic tuxedos range between $100 to $250.  Our wedding gowns range from $150 to $1000.  All prices are clearly explained and marked within the store so you will not be surprised to hear your total.  Give us your budget  and we will make it work!

9. Can you help me obtain my marriage license?

For an additional fee, we can help you obtain your marriage license.

Tuxedo Questions

1. Are you sure you have a tuxedo to fit me?

Yes.  We carry all sizes and styles in stock so fitting is never a problem.

2. Should I send in measurements in advance?

If you would be more comfortable sending advance measurements, you are more than welcome to do so.  We do carry all items in stock and find that measuring you once you arrive is the most accurate way to achieve a proper fit.

3. Do you carry children’s tuxedos?

We do carry children’s tuxedos starting as small as a 3T.

4. I do not have time to come in for a tux fitting, can you still help me?
We can always help.  We have an online tuxedo order form that can be sent in just hours before your event. We do suggest taking our order form in to a local tuxedo store for measurements to guarantee proper fit.
5. I tried on my tux and there is a sizing error. Now what?

Mistakes can happen and we are here to help.  If there is any sort of sizing error, please contact us as early as possible so we can correct any errors made.

Wedding Gown Questions

1. I want a specific dress by a specific designer, do you have it?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could carry every gown by every designer?  It just isn’t realistic.  We do our best to match any dress you may like but we also encourage you to come in with an open mind.  Our professionally trained staff can suggest things you may not have had in mind.  Unlike many larger chain stores, we carry a broad spectrum of gowns and have very few repeats of any dress.

2. My wedding is next year, should I come see dresses now?

Since we rent our dresses, our inventory is constantly changing.  Coming in to see dresses so far in advance is unnecessary.

3. When I hear the word “rental”, I imagine yellowing and outdated wedding gowns. Are all of your gowns used?

We do rent our gowns so the majority of them have been worn.  A quick peek at our wedding gown page will show you that we carry beautiful dresses that are kept in top condition.  You can rest assured that we will not rent you anything you consider outdated.

4. Why aren’t all of your dresses the same rental price?

Since we carry gowns from many higher end designers and many of our gowns are one-of-a-kind, our prices reflect that.

5. I found a dress in your store I love but it doesn’t fit me perfectly, now what?

We offer alterations that will make your gown fit you just as you dreamed of.  Our highly trained staff can alter your dress and have it ready immediately.
